For this release, we’re bringing together coffees from Dwight Aguilar Masias and Eduardo Quispe, both growing in the mountains of Cusco, Peru. Each box contains 100 grams of each coffee, giving you a chance to spend some time with both. Brew them side by side, share them with someone, or keep the whole thing for yourself. We get it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDwight is a third-generation coffee farmer at Nueva Alianza in Santa Teresa. He began planting Geisha and Bourbon from seed in 2010 and has spent years refining how he harvests, ferments, and dries his coffees. That work has earned him two Peru Cup of Excellence wins. His washed Yellow Geisha brings raspberry and mango, bright citrus, and a floral quality that ties everything together. There’s a lot happening in this cup, with the sweetness and clarity to let you appreciate all of it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEduardo’s SL-09 comes from Corral Pata, a farm sitting at 2,080 meters in the foothills of Apu Choqesafra. Coffee grows beneath native shade trees, with fallen leaves helping replenish the soil. Traditionally washed and dried on raised beds, this coffee brings citrus and stone fruit alongside soft florals, a smooth mouthfeel, and a clean, lingering finish. It’s a beautiful companion to Dwight’s Yellow Geisha, and a coffee worth getting to know on its own.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis release also brings us back to some longtime friends. We sourced both coffees through Cultivar Coffee in Texas, where Noe used to be the head roaster. Getting to work together again, bringing these producers’ coffees to Resident, makes this box especially meaningful to us.
