Bumba Hill is our newest coffee from Burundi, produced by Long Miles Coffee and processed at Ninga Washing Station. This washed Bourbon lot is sweet, deep, and comforting with notes of brown sugar, blackberry, date, and plum.

Ninga Washing Station was built in 2019 after Long Miles recognized that farmers in this remote region were traveling long distances to reach washing stations with fair scales and better prices for their coffee cherries. The washing station sits about 10 kilometers from Bukeye Washing Station, surrounded by hills, small rivers, and farming communities with limited access to clean drinking water and electricity.

Bumba Hill is not an easy place to reach. To get there, you have to cross three rivers and pass two provincial borders. Coffee is one of the most important crops grown here, alongside corn and beans, and 694 farmers delivered coffee from this hill in 2025.

We’re proud to present this coffee through our importing partner Osito and the work of Long Miles Coffee. Burundi has a way of producing coffees that feel both delicate and deeply sweet, and Bumba Hill is a beautiful example of that. Clean, fruit-forward, and full of layered sweetness, this is the kind of coffee we get excited to share.
