Noe met Anthony Carranza only briefly. Just enough time to cup some coffees and share space in the lab at Alpes Andinos with Eric, their quality control manager. Anthony was there with his cousin, Germán, and mentioned he had just started growing coffee. That was it.
Months later, his name showed up on a container list from Yellow Rooster as it was leaving Peru. Noe remembered the coffee and jumped in.
This washed Gesha comes from Finca El Aliso in Amazonas, Peru, grown at 1920 MASL. It was fermented 72 hours in cherry, 48 hours pulped, then dried over 15 days on solar beds.
It’s one of the more expensive Geshas we’ve carried, and one we’re proud to share. It tastes like passion fruit, blood orange, mint, and soft florals.
